A Little Rough, the title of this black and white photograph by Bill Tomsa, is a tongue-in-cheek description of a very old and battered pickup truck that has been "retired" to a cool, tree shaded spot in the Sonoran desert area of Cave Creek, Arizona.

Bill Tomsa

After 2 years at SUNY on Long Island and 4 years active duty in the United State Marines, I enrolled and studied Graphic Design, at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Afterwards I held several design positions and was the Art Director for an affiliate network TV station for 12 years. In the late 1990s I shifted my focus to my fine art career and photography. My paintings have been juried into and won awards in competitions and group shows in Maine and Arizona. Besides being a former Vice President of the Scottsdale Artist League in the late 90s, I am also a past member of the Sebascodeagan Artists in Maine, the Boothbay Regional Arts Foundation in Maine, and the Sonoran Arts League in Cave Creek, Arizona as well as...
