Description
Barn on Cathance Road, a small format acrylic painting by Bill Tomsa, depicts a tall yellow barn that lived on a New England rural road.
This painting was done when my wife and I lived (for 13 years) in Topsham, Maine . I took on a self-imposed challenge in April of 2005. I wanted to see if I could paint 100 paintings in 30 consecutive days. I started on April 1st (April Fools Day...how appropriate) and figured I would have to create, from scratch, 3.3 acrylic paintings each day for 30 days. On day one I did exactly ONE painting and immediately thought I was in trouble. LOL. All one hundred paintings were 5"x7" and prepared in advance...cutting to size and several coats of gesso. On April 30th at about 10pm I finished number 100! This painting, Whew!
