Description
Tail Dragger, portrayed here in gray scale focuses attention on the tail section of a single engine aircraft that incorporates a tail wheel, known in aviation circles as a "tail dragger" or more technically as a "conventional" landing gear. According to Wikipedia, it "...is an aircraft undercarriage consisting of two main wheels forward of the center of gravity and a small wheel or skid to support the tail."
Due to the increased difficulty of operating this kind of aircraft while on the ground, taxiing and take offs and landings, a pilot must obtain training and a rating in addition to his/her private license in order to fly a tail dragger legally.
