This is a small acrylic painting (6x6 inches) that refects the beauty of the Sonoran Desert where my wife and I lived for 12 years. In April the desert explodes with the most gorgeous colors of wildflowers. Albeit a very short period, this is one of the most wonderful Spring seassons I have ever had the plreasure to witness and this painting of a yellow prickly pear blossom is but a small part of it. As mentioned above, this acrylic painting is on a gallery wrap canvas, and the image does wrap aroound all four sides.

After 2 years at SUNY on Long Island and 4 years active duty in the United State Marines, I enrolled and studied Graphic Design, at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Afterwards I held several design positions and was the Art Director for an affiliate network TV station for 12 years. In the late 1990s I shifted my focus to my fine art career and photography. My paintings have been juried into and won awards in competitions and group shows in Maine and Arizona.
