This acrylic painting was done en plein air and is titled "Flag Shadow" for obvious reasons. I've driven past this house numerous times in Topsham, Maine and on this particular day the sun light was ideal to do a painting of Old Glory, tangled as she was by the wind.

After 2 years at SUNY on Long Island and 4 years active duty in the United State Marines, I enrolled and studied Graphic Design, at Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Afterwards I held several design positions and was the Art Director for an affiliate network TV station for 12 years. In the late 1990s I shifted my focus to my fine art career and photography. My paintings have been juried into and won awards in competitions and group shows in Maine and Arizona.
