Description
The blue sky, white, puffy cumulus clouds (cu's) and the warm sunshine promise a good day of lobstering as this work boat heads out in the waters under the Cribstone Bridge with lobster traps on board. Also known as the Bailey Island Bridge, Wikipedia said this about it, "The Bailey Island Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975; on July 19, 1984, it was recognized as a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. The Bailey Island Bridge is reported to be the only granite cribstone bridge in the world.[2]"
This recently rebuilt stone bridge connects Orr's and Bailey islands in Harpswell, Maine. Once again, I finally fulfilled my desire to capture a treasured Maine scene with canvas and paint!
Sure to please the lover of Maine, or New England coast line views and those things nautical.

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. ― John Lubbock CONGRATULATIONS ON SALE!
